Celeste, City of Air and  home to many thousands of inhabitants was thriving and the synthetic crops surrounding it were the lifeblood of the city. However, a perfect storm of ecological events, a NatureTech lab leak from a nearby planet and atmospheric conditions led to the birth of a new menace: the PixeLocusts.  These semi-robotic locusts  of varying forms descended upon the crops in plague proportion, devouring everything in sight. The citizens of Celeste were helpless as the PixeLocusts emitted a foul-smelling gas that hung in huge green smog clouds for weeks surrounding the High Flyer districts after the swarm moved on. The city was left in a state of panic and desperation.

The leaders of Celeste tried everything they could to stop the robotic locusts, even sending out huge fleets of armed drones to intercept them, but it was all for nothing. The PixeLocusts were too powerful, too numerous, and too persistent. With each passing day, more and more crops were destroyed, and the city's food supply dwindled.

Astonishingly, something miraculous happened. As the PixeLocusts began to die off due to the lack of synthetic food sources, the citizens and Nomads of Celeste joined forces and  started to rebuild. They worked together, using their knowledge of science and technology to create new, more resilient crops that could withstand the onslaught of the robotic locusts.

Eventually, the avian pests disappeared entirely, and the green smog clouds dissipated. The City of Celeste slowly returned to normal, but the people never forgot the horrors of the PixeLocusts. They continued to innovate and create, always pushing the boundaries of science and technology so that they would never be caught off guard again.

And so, the City of Celeste lived on, stronger and more resilient than ever before, thanks to the courage and ingenuity of its incredible population.

Food sources quickly declined causing havoc among the community.
