Overview

Forests have always been alive, but it wasn’t until the Asteroids struck that they became sentient beings known as The Fey. Mischievous by nature, trees would observe the wildlife wandering around them, playing tricks and having fun with those who show respect and driving mad the ones who don’t. “Be careful of the forests for their fun is your fear.” These are the Fey.

Survival

Naturalists and Wayfarers have been known to converse with the Fey, but by no means are they friends. Plant life is particularly prankish with little to no regard for human emotions or desires. Their long lives leave them less than sane by human standards, but they value those with gentle and guileless natures. If you help them, they'll help you. But, be warned, never trust a Fey. They have long lives and pass their memories through seeds, meaning they remember everything humans have done to them. Whether they act on those memories or not is up to the personality of each individual Fey, but even in the best of outcomes you'll always end up a little confused.

Inhabitants

Fey can be hard to identify as they are almost indistinguishable from non-sentient trees if they don't want to be noticed. However, if you play music, you might look for plants who sway just a little bit more than the ones around them. That being said, if they wish to be seen, they are capable of transforming into more humanoid or animal-like shapes. Nonetheless, people still seek them out.

One of the most valuable powers the Fey possess is the ability to bestow life. Because of this, they have brought to life creatures of legend to terrify, mystify, amuse, and confuse all who wander through their woods. The Fey Forests are filled with unicorns, were-creatures, shadow monsters, and more which forever propagate the Fey's domain.
