Environment

Tikas are found all over the world in seemingly random locations, which makes them hard to track. However extensive research has shown that Tikas are actually congregating around areas with high concentrations of Temporal Energy (i.e.- Taylor Temporal Field). The astounding feat, according to Laureates, is that the physical environment seems to matter very little to their survival as they’ve been found deep in the ocean, wandering in tundras, diving into volcanic fields, and more.

Abilities

Many abilities demonstrated by Tikas deal with the disturbance of time. They’re capable of slightly speeding up their own time which makes them appear to move faster, or slowing down someone else’s which makes them move slower. These distortions can be applied to individual objects or living creatures. BUT, utilizing these abilities on living beings depletes the Temporal Energy used to power these abilities even faster. As such, Tikas are at their strongest when located near areas of high Temporal Energy for them to feed off of.

Personalities

Tikas are very habitual creatures and prefer developing habits (called Ticks) which they follow to keep them happy. These Ticks are often mundane activities such as watching the sunset every day, performing a little song at sunrise, or tapping their partner on the shoulder twice whenever they meet someone new. When in situations that allow them to follow their Ticks, they’re very happy and durable partners. When disturbed, they can become easily upset.
