Haunts

Environments

Haunts are often drawn to areas with high concentrations of negative emotions such as graveyards, battlefields, and crash sites. It’s unclear whether they feed on this energy or if it’s an instinctual response. But there’s never been one discovered outside of these locations which leads Laureates to believe that these negative emotions are what makes Haunts visible.


Abilities

The most valued ability from those who partner with Haunts are their capability of warding off negativity and danger. Some Laureates believe they can see into the future, as it’s seemingly impossible to surprise a Haunt or their partner. When in great peril, they’re also able to transform shadows into their weapons to protect the ones they care about most.


Personalities

Haunts tend to become very attached to their partners and develop deeply emotional bonds. When in groups with other people, they can become shy and reclusive, but experienced partners of Haunts report that they come to life at night when you’re alone with them. During this time they’re very playful and enjoy playing tricks to make their partner laugh.
