Polkas

Environment

Computers, gaming consoles, and pocket devices are the most common places to find a Polka hive. They are only semi-physical when outside of an electrical system and prefer traversing the digital world instead. Polkas enjoy jumping into various devices to meet the person who owns it through their data - then jumping to new devices and doing it all over again. Thousands of people have reported these Polkas as perceived ‘glitches’ and fail to recognize them in time before they’re gone forever.

Abilities

Beyond jumping between electrical devices and traversing data streams like highway roads, Polkas are also known for their technopathic abilities. When partnered with a Polka, users are capable of ‘talking’ to electronic devices and commanding them to do their will. Sometimes this can be as simple as opening a door or revealing a password, but Polka masters are also capable of controlling wires like a third arm, magnetizing metal objects, and shooting small bolts of lightning from their fingertips.

Personalities

Polkas are considered one of the most social Ethereals in existence. They are often chatting with multiple people at once, using whatever messaging software they have access to. Polkas seem to get particularly excited when amongst large crowds of people (like at music concerts and sporting events) who are all carrying devices that they can jump between.
