They say things go full circle.  Well, they certainly seem to be.  You’ve probably read in the history book of the   humans on Earth being frightened that Robots would take over the world.  I guess they did kind of, but in a good way most of the time.

People were able to live much longer lives thanks to the advancements in Robo-Tech, and humans  quickly warmed to the new choices available, such as driver-less cars, in house cyborg chefs that clean up, all things we now take for granted were a new way of life back then.

Wearable implants and neuro-scientific chips have given us super intellectual powers these days and many of the 1st Generation pure robotic machines don’t like it.  To the point where their fears of human hybrids are starting to take back their place in society, relying less and less on their hardware helpers.

The primitive AI that these Gen 1 were equipped with had only very low levels of the adaptation code, making it difficult for them to accept that human intelligence was accelerating quickly beyond their CPU computing power.  They were so well built though, that they have survived many millennia and still have their place in modern society.

Whilst some bots simply continue with their day to day, somewhat limited tasks, others have displayed a level of depression that sees them spend their days drinking cheap contaminated oil cocktails at some of the lower end Borg Bars throughout Celeste, to drown out the anxiety of the human intelligence uprising.
